Lynn 'Doc' Griffin came up with another amazing observation a few weeks ago after hearing one too many of the golfers who visit him complain about distance. This time the golfer added that he was hitting the ball too high and it would stop dead in the fairway. So Lynn suggested he do this video to answer that common complaint. I like the part about the airport the most.
Basically, he reminds everybody that if you have a swing speed of 80 mph or less, you're not going to hit those 300 yard drives no matter what kind of club you have in your hand. He also talks about the launch angle of your driver. He's discovered most drivers don't have enough!
Finally, he talks about the spin rate of your ball. The expensive tour balls do have more spin and that, Lynn rightly claims, is a problem when you want the ball to roll out on the fairway.
Great information here. Thanks, Lynn.
