While we were at our golf school at the PGA Golf Learning Center in Port St. Lucie, Florida, Greg MacDonnell, our head instructor, turned his short game lesson into a great tip. When you're in the sand, it's all in the knees. Your knees stabilize your body. As Greg shows, all that digging your feet deeper and deeper into the sand only gets you deeper and deeper into trouble.
As I've said before, we can teach you technique, but you have to develop the feel for short game shots like this one. When golfers first come to me well over one half of them have this thing about sand, but once they understand the technique, the quickly get the feel.
Thanks, Greg.
The Surge!
P.S. I'll see you at the PPGS Winter Tournament next week!
