Well, this is it. PPGS Teacher Certification. Tell your pro! Let him/her know! — The Surge!
News Release.
Due to high student demand, PGA Master Professional Don Trahan, known as the 'Swing Surgeon,' is holding a two day certification clinic for instructors interested in learning how to teach Trahan's 'Peak Performance Golf Swing.' Defined as a vertical, limited turn, ¾ backswing, the Peak Performance Golf Swing is featured on Trahan's popular website, PeakPerformanceGolfSwing.com. In practice, the swing s used by PGA Tour pro, DJ Trahan, Don Trahan's son. PGA members will receive 16 MSR points for attending the clinic. To be held December 6 and 7 at Birkdale Golf Club in Huntersville, NC, just outside of Charlotte, the clinic is open to qualified PGA and LPGA members, golf teaching professionals and high school and college golf coaches.
'Since the inception of PeakPerformanceGolfSwing.com, members and visitors to the site have been asking for teachers familiar with the Peak Performance Golf Swing,' said Greg MacDonnell, PGA, Director of Instruction for the teaching program the website offers. 'To satisfy that need, Don has created the certification program as the answer to literally thousands of requests from golfers,' MacDonnell said.
The clinic, personally taught by Trahan and his staff, will include a thorough explanation of the Peak Performance Golf Swing method and how it differs from today's traditional instruction and will cover every aspect of the game. Participants will also be given the Peak Performance Golf Swing Certification Manual, an in depth guide to Trahan's swing and how to teach it. In addition, instructors will receive the entire Peak Performance Golf Swing video program and training aids.
The benefits of certification for instructors include a contact listing and personal 'home page blog' on the website, exposure to thousands of golfers in specific geographic areas requesting a certified instructor, website membership and ongoing training. 'This will also open up an entirely new market for instructors,' MacDonnell said. He added that in the near future visitors to the website will be able to reserve lessons with certified instructors on line.
'The community of golfers that has been established at PeakPerformanceGolfSwing.com is deeply committed to improvement and has proved it through a growing membership in what we call the 'Inner Circle' and lively discussions on the PeakPerformanceGolfSwing.com blog,' said MacDonnell. According to Internet statistics the site has grown to be one of the most popular on-line golf training sites in the world.
Because this is the first clinic of its kind, MacDonnell said the fee is heavily discounted at $195 per participant. Discounted accommodations are available at Country Inn and Suites, less than a mile from Birkdale Golf Club. The hotel provides breakfast and shuttle service to Birkdale.
