Today I'm going to give you a brief recap of my most recent golf schools in England. Doc Griffin and I had a great turnout, but we all had a heavy heart after the sudden passing of our friend and fellow PPGS certified instrucor, Malcom Rawle.
Malcom would have wanted us to continue the school, so that's what we decided to do. We worked on all aspects of the swing, but also made sure to really work on the students' alignment.

Alignment
Thanks for the reminder on alignment. I know it must have been a challenging week with the lose of Malcom.
As for alignment, I look forward to attending one of Surges schools again in the near future and hope I may get a rare "correct" mark for alignment. One of the reasons I might get it right is because I would lay a club or stick down on the correct line before my feet get there. Then of course I will toss the aid aside before hitting the ball. Hard to believe no one has scored a 9 or 10 doing it that way at Don't schools. He has discussed before that it is perfectly legit to do so and I still do so often on the golf course. That along with fully understanding one, how far left parallel left is and two, how to find that from behind while looking down the line from behind the ball and potential foot line. All of this and much more is covered in the Ultimate Alignment Video.
Though confident, believe me I would never assume I would ace the alignment test. I'm sure many who have failed thought they had it right too.
Tom Watson/Bubba Watson
Not related and very different players! Tom is a "rightie" and Bubba a "leftie". I am just watching Sky channel golf and Dennis Pugh, a Master Golf Professional I believe, was in the "Shot Centre" describing the similarities between Tom's swing and Bubba's swing. He noted how VERTICAL their swings were and although Tom is somewhat older than Bubba he can still hit through the ball and finish just as the Surge instructs. Great to see.
