Flat Wrists Make It Vertical

I've been on the road so, as usual, Greg jumped right in there for me. We both noticed some students at our golf school were looking for a sure fire way to make sure they were vertical, especially in the backswing, since you can't really see that.

I've talked about feeling the “light club” at the top of the backswing and Greg reminded everyone about those flat wrists. Moving into the the catcher's mitt and up the tree, the left wrist must remain flat. No cupping, no nothing, just flat. The same thing is true for the right hand when the clubhead goes into the catcher's mitt and up the tree in the forward upswing.

The wrists are great checkpoints in the Peak Performance Golf Swing!

Thanks, Greg. And thanks for your compliment to DJ!
