Golf Club Grips

We have recently been asked by a number of visitors to the site about golf club grips, especially the oversized and Moe Norman-style, non-tapered grips.

While we'€™ll go into this in more detail later, here'€™s the basic idea:

I always recommend using round grips, not the ribbed ones.

Since I believe that when you want to shape a shot a little (note: setup changes may also be needed ), you never change your grip to hit fades and slices, or draws and hooks.

The best and simplest way to shape a shot is to just open or shut the face as much as needed for the amount of curve you want.

Round grips will feel the same in the fingers, whereas a rib,\beds grip, in a different place when you turn the face a little to shape a shot, will feel awkward and strange.

We'€™ll examine shaping shots another time.

But using round grips is a good start.
