Barrie had a good question on the blog and the Surge needed to jump on it. Golfers trying to change from a rotational swing or just trying to get into a vertical swing sometimes get caught between two worlds, which may have happened to Barrie.
'In the mitt and up the tree' may seem like a simple enough swing though,t but one important point might be missed: the rotation of the arms. Listen to the Surge as he takes on Barrie's problem and comes up with a simple solution.
Barrie will no longer hit slices that seem to come back at him.
Paul
Health note: The Surge is doing well, just not doing much yet. He goes in for pretty significant physical therapy three times a week that is designed specifically for client. He again thanks everyone for their continued encouragement. That means a great deal to him.

ive have golfed for 30 years,
ive have golfed for 30 years, most of it not very well. around 2003 i really worked hard honing my swing to ÃÂ a consistent low 80s golfer. i practiced at the driving range almost every day working on every aspect of the game. i then quit playing, 1, because of my playing partner turned into a flake. and, 2, i chose to return to playing the jazz guitar something ive wanted to do for many years. cant afford to do both. seemed like a good time. after five year hiatus i tried to golf and my swing was not there any more and i didnt have the desire to go thru all the time and expense i had already done to have the swing i had. i was introduced i early 2010 to "in the mitt up the tree" by a buddy. i watched the videos for a week, went to the driving range the next week and then was able to start playing the week after. i didnt really have to practice much any more. as long as i remind my self of the simple rules i can hit the ball very consistently. i had a spinal fusion of my 3 lower vertebrae in june of 2011. 8 weeks after my surgery my family went to hawaii on a ÃÂ vacation and i rode along with my father and brothers in law for 3 rounds of golf and couldnt resist trying to hit the ball a few shots per round. with out warmup, i took a 7 iron out of one of the bags took a few practice swings and then hit a crisp shot down the fairway. i hit many different shots including driver, that took a little extra work. the last drive i hit at the end of the day was 270. that one hurt a little. all in all i hit maybe 20 shots thru 2 rounds of golf at least 18 were terrific shots. i love this method. i dont worry about my swing anymore, i can just go and play. also the MEDICUS swing trainer works perfectly on this swing method. thank you don and dj. silveradoahs2003@yahoo.com
