Today, I just wanted to share a comment I received from a brand new visitor to swingsurgeon.com. Gary Morrison found some of my videos on YouTube and decided he liked what he saw.
At 63 years old and still playing from the tips, Gary plays in a lot of pain trying to keep up with the "young guys." Because the PPGS is the true body-friendly swing, he quickly found out that this swing is easy to implement and will be simple to maintain. This gives me a good avenue to talk about what makes the PPGS so easy on the body.
I am 63 years old. I still hit from the blues with the young guys, but what they don’t know is that I hurt all over especially the neck and shoulders. Found you this morning on YouTube. It’s cold here in Oklahoma but I have been outside swinging the swing you teach. I am excited to discover how easy it is. I was afraid I was going to have to quit golf if it hurt my body any more.
Thanks Gary
I appreciate the kind words from Gary, and I hope more and more people find their way to this website. We have a vast library of daily videos as well as full length videos available for purchase from Surge's Shop.

Body friendly
Thanks Surge for reminding us about why this swing is the best for us. It's amazing how sometimes we just take our health and fitness for granted especially when all is well. Recently I have been experiencing some new aches and pains. As it turns out, it does involve my L5 and S1. It is a grade 1 forward slipping of L5 and narrowing between those two discs. So it is manageable at this point with proper care (ice/heat) and stretching along with the right exercises. I have already noticed some improvement over the last 3 weeks since the diagnosis and follow up Physical Therapy. Causes? Life right. I have lead a very athletic and active life. I have a very physically demanding job, still work full time (a blessing) and have averaged 2-3 days of golf per week for the last 5 years. Formerly I played maybe once or twice a month but kids (now adults) gone and circumstances allowed for lots of golf in recent years which is my passion. Admittedly, I do feel I have been guilty of over swinging beyond 3/4's and likely past 70 degrees as recommended. My bad for sure. I have actually not played at all for 3 weeks now and along with the a fore mentioned steps will be playing again soon enough. Mean while I have been an exclusive caddy and coach for my wife and she has been loving the extra personal attention though she knows it's torture for me not to play:(
This has all served as major wake up call for me to follow the PPGS correctly in the closet way I can. I will have Cindy ( a model limited turn 3/4 Surgite) monitor my every swing including video taping my swings. I am going back to the original fundamentals series and start from scratch. Actually really looking forward to it. I do want to be playing for years yet to come God willing. I know this is the swing that will allow me to do just that.
How's everyone else doing out there? Golfing or waiting for snow to melt?
