I came across a very unique putting drill during my time at The Heritage Classic on Hilton Head Island. I think it really stresses the idea of practicing with a purpose.
After one of DJ's practice rounds, we wanted to work on his putting some more. While we were on the putting green, fellow PGA Tour pro Heath Slocum was doing something I'd never really seen before. He wasn't just hitting ball after ball at the hole. Instead, he took the time to line up and study every single putt. Even his caddie was reading each putt with him, just as they would do in an actual tournament. Also, Heath had to make a certain number of putts in a row before he could stop.
I, personally, am going to start using this drill before and after my rounds and I think you should try it out as well.
Keep it vertical,
The Surge!
