Bret loves the Surge Swing because he's hitting more fairways than he has in years. But he's having problems with a sore right elbow. He wonders if there is some swing error he's making that would cause the soreness. There sure is.
The biggest cause of elbow problems is hitting down on the ball. This can send shock waves up through your hands to your elbows and even your back. The same is true if you take deep divots. Remember, in the Surge Swing we swing up. We just brush the grass. Our motto is 'thin to win.'
However, there are also other causes. One is over practice. When the weather gets warmer some golfers go out and overdo it. I have elbow pain too if I hit too many drivers. Our muscles are not used to so much work and we can easily pull them. Make sure you warm up your body before going out to the range.
On this video I've got a few more tips and some good advice, but the best advice I received was from Dr. Ned Armstrong and it's now a Surgism: 'Tension, stress and strain equals pain.'
The Surge!
