SURGE SAYS: The 2009 Masters'¦Kenny Perry, Mud on his Ball in the Middle of the Fairway'¦We Need a Rules Change.
I got a call from the father of one of my regular students, a high school golfer. His son, Josh, was playing poorly in matches and the playoffs were coming up next week, and as he said, Josh was in need of major 'surgery.'
I got this great question from 'Tom' and I had to share it ' and my answer ' with everyone.
We get this question, or one like it, every day.
So, here's Tom:
OK, I am a senior player.
You bet there is.
In the golf world of club fitting and repair and tinkering, it's known by the name 'lead tape.'
(Staff Note: Don really enjoys your comments, but can't possibly answer all of them personally. He'll continue to share some of his answers on these pages. Virtually all topics are covered in our DVD series and Foundations manual. So keep those comments coming!)
Wrist Cock on Not?
I am standing behind the par 3 seventh tee at Harbour Town Golf Links watching D.J. hit his 6 iron tee shot to the green during Wednesday's Pro-AM.
After he hit it and walked to help his amateur partners, the tee marshal walked up to me.
This has been a question talked about and debated for centuries on the course, in the locker room, dining room, club bars, and in numerous magazine articles.
In or out'¦in or out'¦which is the answer?
FRANK'S WALL

Surge, I've never seen a baseball game. So where is the catcher's mitt (as in in the catcher's mitt and up the tree)?
I really had to think about that.
Shoulder Injury: Recovery and Rehab
I know I just wrote about Bob's back , but I recently received an e-mail from Patty, who lives in Kansas City, Mo. She asked some questions that I felt were important and needed to be answered to all our visitors.
FIXING BOB'S BACK
My new student, Bob, was pretty typical. Pretty good player, big turn, sore back, gloomy outlook. He told me on the phone that he'd gone from a five to a 15 because of back problems.
I'd just finished a lesson when a ball came whizzing by my head. Teaching pros lead dangerous lives.
'Fore!' someone on my right yelled, a little too late.
We have recently been asked by a number of visitors to the site about golf club grips, especially the oversized and Moe Norman-style, non-tapered grips.
While we'll go into this in more detail later, here's the basic idea:
A number of visitors to the site have asked if the PPGS will help with sore knees.
Here's one example.
Mr. J. Gamble was using a wide stance and said:
