I really think Enlow Grips are a great product. I wouldn't promote them on the website if I thought anything else. But, I received an email that asked why I don't use them on every club in my bag.
I personally like to use the Enlow Grips on my putters. Yes, that's plural. I've got many different putters, but all of them have the Enlow Grips because they feel so good, especially in my right hand.

Anyone who knows me knows I'm always tinkering with my putter. However, I also just put an Enlow Grip on one of my drivers. I haven't put in in play yet, although I'm excited at the option it now gives me.
Here at SwingSurgeon.com, we're always looking for training aids and new technologies to help us all become better golfers. I feel as though part of my job here is to not only teach the Peak Performance Golf Swing but to keep you up to date on the ever evolving equipment that is out there. I had DJ try these grips and he liked them a lot and he's currently considering putting them in play on all his clubs. I like it for putting because it gives me a good feel with my right hand, but some of you might really see a difference in your game if you use them on every club in your bag. Like anything else, it's going to be different for everyone and it ultimately comes down to what works for you.
I've already mentioned to the folks at Enlow that they should consider making a mid size grip and I'd probably put them in play for all my clubs. I love what they've already accomplished with their grips and I think they can do even more great things. I can't necessarily put everything in my bag that I come across, but that doesn't mean I don't think it's a great product for you to try.

Surge, I agree the Enlows are a quality grip. Ironically I have not tried them on my putter(s) yet. I currently use the Super Stroke Fatso putting grip but I did buy all 14 of the yellow Enlows and put them on my newer set of the Mizuno JPX800's I built two weeks ago. Did get to test them out on the range first and then the following week (yesterday) on the golf course. It was my first time with both the heads,shafts and grips so a new adventure. I did hit a few really well stuck drives, fairway clubs and irons and although it was not a consistent round I did have two birdies set up by iron shots. One was a 142 yard 7 iron to 3 feet. Most of my drives were down the middle too. One change I made was cutting a 1/2 inch off my driver that is now 43.75 inches. Had several other pars and over all was favorably impressed by the clubs and Enlow grips. Honestly it does take some messing around with the hands to find the most suitable way to place them on this grip. But it actually inspired a complete revamping of my grip style after a rousing conversation that several of us had about gripping. I reviewed much of Surges lessons on our grip fundamentals and also broke out the swingrite with its training grip. The day at the range last week really helped and about half way through the bucket things began to click. Nice.
With my air compressor it is easy for me to blow the super stroke off and add the remaining Enlow to my putter. I will do that soon and give it a go next week (life permitting:)
So for those considering the Enlows, don't hesitate to try 'em. I think you may really like 'em.
Starting to use lthe Enlows
i must admit, I was shocked by how thick they were... guess I was expecting more of midsize grip.
I'ma7 handicap, but having arthritis pain in knuckles, so I thought these would be good idea
i bought full set, but after seeing thickness I wasn't ready to go ALL IN. So I put one on a 4 iron I rarely use and a wedge. i instantly loved it on a wedge and hit three or for with the iron and got a bit used to them.
this week I put them on rest of my wedges and decided to try it on the driver. went to the range and LOVED THE GRIPS ON THE DRIVER! I'll give them a try on the course tomorrow

I wasn't too shocked because I have been used to the Jumbo Max and the Enlows while shaped different with the reverse tapper are not larger over all. The big change is under the right hand. Takes some getting use to but sounds like it is alright for you so far. One thing I noticed is that you can also vary the thickness by how far down or up on the grip you place your hands. I have just recently purchased and placed the Enlow grips on the clubs that Lynn Griffin had prescibed for me two years ago. When I received them and saw how big they were, I was shocked. I hope Lynn doesn't mind me quoteing him. He told me at the time my clubs were made, that grip size was a matter of personal preferance and a golfer should use what feels comfortable to the golfer. Previously, I was under the impression that golf grips should match the size of a person's hands. Small hands = Small grip. I have not been playing well of late and my grips needed to be changed so I decided to try the Enlow grips. It was a difficult decision for me to actually put them on the clubs. I received alot of kind, but negative reactions from everyone I talked with or consulted with. "Are you really sure you want to put these on" said the local golf repair guy that placed them. " I can"t imagine playing with those grips" said the local pro. For a person with a rather fragile golf ego, these were not confidence builders. Foolishly, I went ahead anyway and placed them. I have only played one round and practiced twice, so the verdict long term is not in. I have to say this at this point: I LOVE THESE GRIPS !!!!! I don't know how many others will, but right now I feel much more in control of the club than I ever did. My first round on a rather easy course with a 123 slope was 6 over par. I had been shooting in the mid 80's recently. I am rethinking the notion of small grips for small hands as the opposite may be more true. I agree with Don, and hope Mr Enlow will come out with a bit smaller version of the grip as that seems very practical to me. I would never so back to a small grip again after this experience. I would be interested to hear about other's experience. All the best for better golf and the best within us.
Enlow weight
Does anybody know off hand how much those grips take off of the swing weight as opposed to a mid-size grip?
Lighter swing weight doesn't seem to bother me for some reason (probably because I'm not any good to begin with) but I know many people like and need a higher swing weight. Those people would have to add weight to the head with a grip that big.

Just weighed my Jumbo Max (of course I have a gram scale) and it is 110 gr.
The xtra weight did not adversly effect my swing and shots these last 2 1/2 years (love 'em) and I don't think the Enlows will either. Back weighting by other means is not a new practice. Again were talking about grams or a few ounces.

I was just wondering if someone already knew off hand how much weight they added or didn't add.
Effect on Swingweight
Each 5 grams of grip weight will move the swingweight about 1 swingweight. The Enlow grips weight about 140 grams. A typical grip weighs about 50 grams. so, if you replace the grips that came on your clubs with an Enlow grip it is going to reduce the swingweight about 18 points (140-50=90. 90/5=18). A D2 will drop to B4. BUT WAIT! Swingweight was a good scale to use when all grips weighed pretty much the same, and before we were able to measure the MOI of a finished club. MOI is way more important than swingweight. The additional weight on the grip end of the club will raise the MOI some, but not a lot. Plus, if the installation of an Enlow grip causes a reduction in head feel, that can be adjusted by adding weight at the head. The key is to get the best MOI and balance for each individual player. Enlow Grips
Surge - bought two grips, one for the putter, one for the driver. The feel on the putter is fantastic - no wiggle as I pendulum back and forth.
The grip on the driver provides me with a lot of confidence as I bring the club back and up the tree - I had a problem with a bit of wiggle as I bumped and began the FUS. That wiggle is gone and my drives are much more consistent. Will buy grips for my woods in the very near future!

Enlow Grips-Golf Bags
Since the Enlow Grips are larger, the question comes up quite often. What make of golf bag will fit the larger grips the best. I've been using the
Sun Mountain C-130 cart bag. This model is a couple of years old but I know they make an updated model. It has 14 slots in the top and also a large putter slot that will allow the Big Boy putter grip to slide in and out with ease.
