Boy it's good to be back! As you may or may not have known, I've been unable to play golf for the last few months due to my recovery from heart surgery.
I've managed to publish some daily video tips from my archives in the interim, but I just wanted to let you know that I'm back for real and I'm feeling pretty good.
As is common with rehab, one of the things that suffers the most when you start swinging a golf club again is your distance. I'm a lot shorter now, but I'm working my way back up. And because I'm using the Peak Performance vertical golf swing, I'm still hitting it right down the middle.
Keep it vertical and I'll be talking to you soon!

Welcome back Don!
Thrilled to have you back in the backyard driving range and looking forward to new dailies. Thank you for keeping me in the game with the body friendly PPGS. God bless!
Welcome back.
Wishing you continued good health and welcome back!
The Surge is Back!
Surge welcome back and don’t worry about your distance. It will come back with a bit of work and it sure beats the alternative. I found after my injury that with work and by going to a slightly lighter shaft it allowed me to gain my lost distance back. It’s great to see you vertical.
So Glad your back
Hi Don,
So happy to see you back in action. Looking forward to more of the same in instructional materials.
Welcome back!
You're story about losing power while carrying DJ's clubs has come in handy. A friend told me how his legs were bothering him and I suggested he get it checked out--I'd just read an article about deep vein thrombosis and also remembered your story. He later got on a treadmill and his heart rate was too high. He mentioned it to his wife and she shipped him off to the doctor. He called my husband today to say he's had a medical scare and might be off to the Cleveland Clinic. So, even though we follow you for golf, your personal stories are also great life stories and I'm glad you share them with us.
Welcome Back Good Sir
Surge, You will never know just how much so many of the Surge Nation owe you. Your return is some of the best news golf wise for a long, long time. It is fantastic that you are back swinging a club. May your health and game get better by the day. Distance? We all lose distance. It is a fact of aging : - ( boo!hoo! In my humble opinion, being more accurate down the fairway and at the green consistently are much better. Recently following the slowest four imaginable, we were deliberately aiming away from them so as not to 'hit up on them'. The results were stunning. A string of 6pars on the most difficult holes on the course. Distance was not good, but accuracy with the hybrids, irons etc from 150-180yds in were impeccable. Distance is good, but give me accuracy and consistency every time Surge. YOU GAVE ME THAT, for which I am eternally grateful : - ]
The weather here is sloooowly coming right and DL and I will get out onto the hallowed turf more often and spread the word about PPGS.
It made me smile to see the sun's rays shining upon you during this video~! Very appropriate-the big fella upstairs was watching it too.
Great to see you back DH and DL in NZ
Speaking of back......
DH and DL,
Good to read your comments my old friend in NZ! Glad known you'really still around too and golfing along with the Mrs. Coming get into your summer weather there eh. How's the golfing weather? Been out beating the lil ball around the links? Hope so.
Golf on!
Speaking of back....
Hi Robert,
Not gettting out as often as we would like. Weather very fickle at the moment here. Weather meant to be fine and turns out with gale force winds or rain and wind ; - ( hahaha! Hopefully we will both be out during in the next 48hrs. It is a wee bit frustrating. Swinging well, ball striking good and then a lay off of a week or more. Daughter and pooch were visiting which restricted us-then I performed a classic nose dive onto a tar sealed road in the city and ended up with a very sore knee for a while! boohoo. Now raring to go and spend more time putting Surge's teachings into practice : - ) Great to see the good man is looking in excellent condition on his first video back. You and your good lady keep on beating that lil ball around the links.BTW links courses are our favourite. Go get 'em in Vegas! DH and DL in sunny [for a change] NZ ; - ]
Welcome Back!
It is great to see you hale and hearty again. Was it just coincidence that the sun was shining down just right to create a spotlight for you in the video?
Great to have you back.
Glad you are now back. Have been missing you and your golfing tips and helps.
Welcome Back
We are delighted to have you back, alive and well, and look forward to your tips and instruction.

Swing
Glad to see you back "in the swing of things," Surge. Recovery definitely takes time. Keep feeling better. We're all looking forward to new video tips from you.
Great news Surge!
So happy to hear that you're back. It sounds like your cardio rehabilitation program is a very good one and it is just a matter of time, before you are back to speed. Speaking for the " swing speed challenged," a daily video on what other things you are doing to regain lost swing speed would be interesting.
Welcome Back!!!
Don: Hope that you continue to improve fast! Keep up the rehab. I would also like information on what you are doing to increase swing speed.
WELCOME BACK, SURGE!
So nice to have you back Surge! As others have mentioned, that wonderful light coming in over your shoulder pretty well sums up our feelings about you - you are our guiding light and we are thankful you are doing better! Take care, get stronger, and enjoy every moment of this wonderful life! Thanks so much for all you have done to make us better golfers. Hit 'em straight, r2

Welcome Back
Dear Surge
I am John from Cambridge England and I'm so glad you're on the road to recovery. I started using your swing a short time ago and was doing good until I had a severe stroke. I am now playing golf again but tending to slice quite a lot with 4 and 5 irons. I believe in your method and plan to persevere until I can again hit straight shots consistently. Your video "the Surge is back" gave me great encouragement to keep playing. I so glad you've recovered from major surgery and keep up the good work. Best regards
John
Welcome Back
And praise the lord. Went through similar operation 3 years ago. Walking and exercise are the strength builders plus eating a healthy diet are what is keeping me alive. Play 72 holes of golf most weeks. Use your swing and hit it straight but short. Will keep you in my prayers and thanks for all the info on a pain free golf swing.
You have never been away !
Don you have never been far from all of us surgites thoughts, its real good to see you back on the backyard driving range. Best wishes from the UK.

Glad to see you back in action and recover from your surge (ry) adventures. Looking forward to your continued health and hope to see you out west USA ASAP for a chance to enjoy your instruction again. Almost always down the middle with the PPGS,
Robert Meade
Glad to see you getting better.
Welcome back. While I am not a good golfer, the PPGS has given me the best accuracy AND distance I have ever had. I played 18 today Just down the road from you and I really enjoyed that sunshine. Keep up the rehab and good work and distance will get better. Thank you so much for helping me and others improve.
Welcome Back
I played Thursday for the first time in since your surgery. Not because of health but because of heat. The senior group takes off for the summer not only for vacations but since we live in the desert and the temps can be 105 or more. For some unknown reason, everytime I put in my score I though of you and how you made this crazy game possible for me. PPGS has totally eliminated my back pain and I never have hit the ball any better. I played so well that I might take off another three months to see if I can get even better. Anyway, sooooooooooooo good to have ya back. I truly feel you and Doc are part of the family.
Ron
Welcome Back
It's great to see you back and looking good, Surge. Just goes to prove You can't keep a good man down.
The Don
Down under we had a bloke by the name of Don Bradman, he was a cricketer and his batting average was around 99 runs per innings which has never been challenged to this date, that was 70-80 years ago and I doubt it will ever be equalled.
They nicknamed him "The Don" and when ever we want to compare some one who is brilliant in the sporting field, he is the man we use for comparison.
Not only was this guy good, he was a gentleman of the highest order as well.
You may not have reached the heights in golf as this man did in cricket, but to me, your passion, honesty and dedication to the golfing franternity, puts you in a similar league,
I say this with all my heart, welcome back "The Don".
Welcome Back Don
Great to see you at it again. More prayers coming your way. May God bless. Stan Kerlick in Laguna Niguel, CA

My lost videos
It is good to have you back Don. Incidentally, after some trouble of my own, I am back on the golf course also, so I decided to spruce up the old swing again with your method that helped me so much. However I came back to re-look at the swing foundation videos I had purchased over 2 years ago on the old website I found out they were gone.
I have emailed your support desk and this is the response I have received:
"Dear Mr. Vignolini,
The only record we were able to secure in our split was that you purchased Situational Shots Around the Green, which is available to you in your account. This is why I stated we received incomplete records and your account must be one of them if you previously had access to more than just this video. In order for me to accurately credit your account with all that you have previously purchased, it will be helpful to have you forward me the receipt for your purchase. A simple search of your email or PayPal history for Maven Marketing will likely yield results. With that I can easily and accurately populate your account with everything you have previously purchased. If you have any further questions or issues, please do not hesitate to reply to this email and I will gladly assist you as quickly and best I can."
Pretty poor putting the onus of proof on me, when really you should have all the details in your database.
Needless to say I am extremely disappointed of, firstly you having lost the videos I had paid for, and second of a substandard customer service.
I shall let the people interested in your products know of this caveat emptor.
PS: I had never purchased the situational shots either, by the way...
Warmest regards
Roberto Vignolini
