I haven't received a question about grip in awhile, so today I'll talk about a common misconception that suggests the V's of your grip should both point at the back shoulder in the setup position. However, if you're setup correctly, only one of the "V's" should actually point there.
It's important to remember that when you address the ball in your setup position, the butt of your club should point at the left hip (right hip for lefties). Also, your thumbs should point up and be in line with the forearms. That way you will know you're gripping the club properly instead of having a strong or weak grip.

A timely reminder as usual of the vital importance of grip. Thankfully my grip was a smidgeon off when recently checked. It is now as this video says it should be : - ) Thumbs up indeed! It is amazing how just a tiny change can make.
V for Victory is because today is Rememberance Day in UK. Here in NZ it is already the 9th of the 11th [the actual day the 11th of the 11th and the 2 minute silence at 11am to remember those who made our lifestyles possible] "And in the morning, we will remember them".
Weather here looking good to hit the sometimes exasperating wee pill tomorrow. My friend in the south island is playing in sunny 78degF as I peck this out, same yesterday-then Wednesday he will have 58degF and HAIL!!! hahaha! Life is never boring.

I hate to break it you if you haven't noticed already is this guy Doug Tewell is stealing everything from you and PPGS and claiming to be his own. I mean the principles, the format of teaching, the video style and the Myths style and ON and ON calling it square to square. Boy I hate this attempt. You are the real champion and creator of what is PPGS. You need to stop this plagiarist even though he has been a successful tour player, his insight into the vertical method is very shallow and superficial as opposed to your which is baked by all the hard thinking and practising and studying the facts. V's and Vets
While watching this video, I grabbed my club to check the grip. I always knew that pointing both v's toward the back shoulder was wrong and Don confirmed that a long time ago. So, after taking my grip, I asked my wife and daughter where the v's were pointing. Both of them were pointing exactly halfway between the respective shoulder joints and the neck. I realized that these points are the same ones that the shaft should be over at the top of the BUS and top of the FUS. What a concept!
On another note, I would also like to say thank you to all our veterans for their service, especially those who were maligned after returning from duty in Southeast Asia in the 60's and 70's and never received the recognition due for their dedication and sacrifice.

Twice in the last decade I visited the American Cemetery at Omaha Beach in Normandy. I had the distinct honor to meet a number of D Day veterans who came to visit the resting place of their fallen comrades.
