Today is a sad day for the Surge Nation. Our dear friend and long time Surgite, Harold Lovette, has passed away. Harold was a good golfer but an even better person.
In today's video, I'll share some personal memories of one of my favorite students. Harold, you truly will be missed.
If you'd like, leave a comment below and we'll make sure Harold's family sees it.
Warmest regards,
The Surge

Harold Lovette
Surge, when Harold saw on your blog that I was going to the Augusta Masters last year, he invited me down for a game of golf on his local course at Greenwood. I came over to the US with a group of guys and had a busy schedule but managed to get a vehicle to drive down and catch up with him.
He spoke fondly and passionately about you during the game, so I knew you must have been very close, even in you video I can feel the deep emotional connection you had with him as well.
Harold invited me back to his house after the game for dinner, but I had to get the vehicle back to Augusta that night and re-join my group. I still have his card and it reads "HAROLD LOVETTE - Master Craftsmen" so now I know why you clutch that lecturn you read from, so fondly.
The beauty about golf is that one can meet another on the other side of the world and when they meet for the first time on a golfcourse they appear to be the best of friends.
To all his family, my deepest sympathy and may Harold rest in peace.

I didn't know Harold personally but I'm heartfully sorry for your loss.

I was sorry to hear of Harolds passing. When I had my stroke nearly 2 years ago, I posted on the forums about visual problems affecting my game especially putting. Harold called me and arranged to meet me at My club in Greenwood, (Stoney Point) and he worked with me and talked about golf for a couple hours.
My putting and vision have not improved, but I appreciated his help.
My condolences to His family and friends. I believe Harold played at Star Fort golf club.

Truly a sad day.
We had the pleasure of meeting Harold and Sandy in Las Vegas. It was indeed a treat to golf with and to get to know him. We have exchanged emails a few times over the years and I had looked forward to taking him up on his offer to join him on his home course for a round.
My deepest condolences to his Family.
