Today's daily is different than any daily I've done before. It will allow me to reach you on a much better level. It's truly interactive! Just what am I talking about? Well, Keith Kent recently commented on the blog that he would like to see swing videos of the Surge Nation. Since many of you contribute so much to the blog each day, I decided to take it one step further.
I put together a survey that I hope many of you will participate in. Not only will it show me what the majority of people are succeeding with, but it will also show me what concepts people are struggling with that I can then address in a daily video. But that's not all! Like Keith suggested, I want to SEE your swings too. That's why, if you take the survey and video yourself using the Surge Swing, you will be entered into a drawing to receive a free, coached-up swing analysis video from me and Dave Seeman. We will integrate our new e-coach software which will allow us to record ourselves while we analyze your video.
Click here to take the survey. Note: You must be logged in to your account in order to take the survey. If you don't have an account, they are FREE and quite easy to set up. Just click on the Register tab in the top left corner of this page, follow a few simple steps, and you'll be able to record the information on your swing and enter the drawing.
Keep it vertical,
The Surge!

I hear you loud and clear,
I hear you loud and clear, and I envy you, especially this time of year.ÃÂ We have a winter storm watch right now with 6-8 inches of wet snow and 40-50 mph winds. Next golf season is a long way off. I'll just play some fantasy golf and wait patiently. Enjoy your round.

Robert, Like I told SGW yesterday I keep a copy of Golf in the Kingdom on my nightstand, great read. You'll like it. I need to check into the other..I may swing over to
amazon or books a million and check it out.
Should be a heck of a game Saturday night one way or another. :)
Got a question for you
Got a question for you computer geeks out there and video file size.ÃÂ I really like Surge's idea for the surveyÃÂ and plan to make some videos this week as per his suggestion for the survey, however my internet connection is not that great with an upload speed of around 1meg.ÃÂ Past videos I have made of my swing were made on my digital camera and the file size of 3 or 4 swings is over 200 meg on one that I just checked.ÃÂ Seems to me that it would take forever for me to upload these videos to the Swing Surgeon website, would it not?ÃÂ Also, if I am right about upload speed, maybe Surge could provide a mailing address and those in the same situation as I could send the Surge the videos on a CD via mail.ÃÂ Am I off base here, or does this make sense?

Hey Jerry,
Yeah I thought that on a lot of those questions I would have liked to have some kind of option to say "most of the time" or something like that.
At different times I probably do everything in the book wrong.
For the survey purposes I just answered what I think the best answer was forÃÂ most of the time.
I've always said that if you don't like my golf swing just wait until you see some more because I have plenty of them and they are all different. Sometimes I even accidentally almost get it right. ;-)
Hey I lived in Key West when I was a kid. I even went to the golf course one time when my dad took a student he was tutoring to play a round of golf. I don't remember how well they hit the ball but since neither one had ever played golf before (or since) I bet it was pretty funny.

Go to Surge's Shop, join the group and buy the videos. They are priceless and address your problem with the backyard video angle.
NeilofOz,
NeilofOz,
Looking forward to your feedback on your new Swingtech. ÃÂ I think I need help on tempo and the swing. ÃÂ So maybe the SwingRite will help now and I will look at the Swingtech after the first of the year.

Surge, in the land of OZ, you
Surge, in the land of OZ, you would be called a Bonza Bloke, ie someone who gives it all
and expectsÃÂ very little in return. I have plenty of videos to show, but I cringe every time I
see them as I know what I'm doing wrong, but just can't get it all together.ÃÂ I have no trouble
with "hand on head/tummy" thing , I can do it slow/fast left or right hand, only wishÃÂ I could
have the same co-ordination with my golf.ÃÂ ÃÂ Wish you had a school going down under, I'd be
the first to sign up. ÃÂ
The Shadow Knows! ÃÂ I know
The Shadow Knows! ÃÂ I know Don has mentioned this in the past, but it wasn't until yesterday, when the Sun was just right on the practice range, that I clearly saw my shadow during my back swing. WOW! After more than a year of working on this swing, I noticed my forward knee still kicks backward during my back swing, and my "up the tree" was actually in the sacred burial ground! ÃÂ I immediately fixed these two problems and had a nice solid round of golf -- and fleeced my two buddies out of $3 even though we were only playing for dimes! ÃÂ Yes, they hit them longer than me, but rarely as straight as me! Thanks Surge! ÃÂ David Hawthorne
Jerry,
Jerry,
Thanks for the input. Unfortunately, the survey module we have doesn't allow for free form comments such as you suggest. I wish that it did because it would give us more insight. I like Steve's suggestion below so if the range of answers to a question doesn't quite fit your swing, select the one that comes closest.
Best regards,
Tom Jans
