Making the H: Vertical Golf Swing Alignment for Accuracy

Tue, 04/12/2016 - 14:00 -- Don Trahan

The routine you have for lining up your target and walking into your setup is extremely critical for an accurate position over the golf ball. If you want to have any sort of consistency with your swing, you first need to start with a proper setup.

Remember, the setup determines the motion, so your success is predicated on your ability to repeat your pre-shot routine before each shot.

Today's tip will help you understand how to "make the H." This is how I set up to the ball every time.

Keep it vertical!

Thanks Surge,
The set-up determines the motion; probably the most important fundamental for me.

I wrote a reply awhile back asking about a link regarding this. This lesson is exactly what I needed - I struggle with the distance to the ball, sometimes I get too close, get too steep, hit it fat. Going to try this this weekend, playing both days. My clubfitter Greg Courtnay emailed me saying my wedges are in the mail so I should have them for the weekend. Really excited about them, should really improve a decent short game.
Brady - thanks for the reply. I'm surprised DJ does not play the Web.com tournaments if he does not get exemptions. Must be hard to wait and stay ready. Hoping he gets more opportunities.
To all Surgites - have a great weekend, play well, stay safe.

I guess since I wear no line bifocals, I need to give up the game. Unfortunately my economy doesn't afford me the luxury of having a pair of eyeglasses for every occasion.

My question would be why do you need to were bifocals when playing ?
