Well, if you've watched it on TV and checked the scores you know that DJ didn't have a good day today. Started off with a great three wood, right off the first tee, but he hung a little wedge to the right to a front right pin placement off the green and didn't get it up... more
Well, DJ has a pretty steady, solid round of golf today. He hit the ball really well and put up some good numbers in a number of departments, shooting 2 under par and comfortably made the cut, which was at even par.
Don explains the benefits of allowing “gravity to be your friend” in the vertical, limited turn… Peak Performance Golf Swing.
(From the Surge: I asked Lynn Griffin to pitch in for me today due to some scheduling conflicts. I'm now at the Verizon Heritage with DJ. You'll be hearing about all that tomorrow!)
Nah, we aren't talking about putting you on an exercise program or anything like that.
We know the power source for the Peak Performance Golf Swing has always been about limited turn, where the body moves less so we can swing the arms faster. It's the concept of centrifugal force swinging a rock on a string.
(We'll also take a look at splashing a ball out of the water.)
Well, the Spartanburg-Herald for today reads, “Brits Take Lead at Augusta.” It starts off with ,”Ian Poulter and Lee Westwood both player from Britain, leading at 8 under par with a score of 136.” The third... more

News flash from the Arnold Palmer Invitational. DJ's grip change greatly improves his performance.
I met DJ for breakfast and got some really good news. He said his back was feeling really good. He told me that he called his mother (a Registered Nurse) Saturday night and she recommended that he put ice on his back instead of heat. Doing so he said it felt a lot better.
If you watched the tournament on TV yesterday you know that DJ was tied for first place and playing in the last group with Ben Curtis. You also know he had some problems with back spasms as it was clearly covered in pregame and tournament information passed out.
There was rain predicted, but we got lucky and dodged it. In its place we had to deal with wind gusting up to 20 mph, left to right from where we were hitting on our practice tee. This created a real rest of the ball striking ability of these students on their second full day of... more
We really had a great day. Temperature was about 80 degrees, sunny, balmy breeze blowing all day. We started the day off with working on the long game. The first thing we focused on was alignment, the Big A. As I stated yesterday, all our students were aiming way right.... more
